All aspects of physiotherapy ranging from young children to the elderly are fascinating and Julie enjoys working one-on-one with an individual to achieve their goals using evidence-based physiotherapy and podiatry practice.

Julie Pham graduated from the University of Notre Dame. There, she gained a wealth of experience contributing to the 2011 Busselton Iron Man by facilitating post race recovery. This unique degree integrated studies in medicine, biomechanics, pharmacology and surgery identical to those with medical students and has equipped podiatric graduates with comprehensive knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Her training has also helped her appreciate the importance of correct diabetic foot care & proper management of arthritis. Performing nail surgery for ingrown nails is also good fun for Julie. Combining her podiatry knowledge with her physiotherapy has made Julie a great asset to Cottesloe Physiotherapy Centre.

Being a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Sports Medicine Australia, Julie is continuously upskilling her interests in sports physiotherapy and podiatry management. As a previous competitive gymnast for several years, Julie understands the stresses and strains that injure the body and likewise the importance as well as demand in returning to normal strength. Therefore, implementing an effective treatment regime with early return to previous level of activity is Julie’s highest priority as she takes most pleasure in seeing the difference it makes to a person’s quality of life.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys staying active by swimming, running and participating in triathlons, yoga, pilates and surfing on the weekends. Julie enjoys travelling as well as spending time with friends and family. She appreciates good coffee, Perth sunshine and our growing city scene.
